Marjorie P. Savoy, 29, was charged with felony arson following an investigation into the fire that started around 9:12 p.m., Sunday, March 31, at the Corlies Manor Apartments, 465 Maple St., said City of Poughkeepsie Police Det. Lt. Matt Clark.

Multiple residents had to be treated at the scene for smoke inhalation; one was transported to an area hospital for treatment, Clark said.

Another two had to be rescued from the second floor by ladders.

After the fire was extinguished the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department determined that the fire was arson, Clark said.

Savoy was held pending arraignment.
